Your Coaches
Ali Pottinger
Training should start where you are at.
It should be fun, holistic, and achievable, but challenging.
Your running should serve you. It should be healthy, and make you and your life better. I love seeing people improve, grow and develop, and do things that they never realised that they were capable of achieving. These things are at the heart of what I do and strive for with my coaching.

Running came to me at a time when I needed it most; while navigating the new world of parenting. It has enriched my life, and the lives of those around me. I love nothing more than seeing someone accomplish their goals, no matter how big or small. This is what drives my coaching.

I first got into trail running after volunteering for UTA back in 2017 and after my first running I was hooked. That feeling of full presence got me wanting more, trails were a place where I could enjoy the moment and not worry about the ever growing ‘to do’ list.
I have developed a sense of belonging and connection to this sport, I simply love trail running and as I grew a bit more competitive I understood I needed something different and structured in regards with my training, I’m so glad I found Ali and Kerry. A few years later and I find myself embarking on an exciting journey, one where I can develop even further my skills not only as a runner but a coach and in doing that also take part in other runners’ journeys. There’s no greater feeling that the one I get when I see friends and crossing that finish line. I believe in unrealistic goals becoming achievable with a realistic plan, one that’s targeted and modified to the unique needs and circumstances of the individual; after all, we run because we love it and we need to adapt out training to our everyday life, keeping it challenging and joyful. I’m deeply committed and motivated. I love having an open conversation with those I coach and I strive to keep on learning to better guide their training.
